What's not to love about Barcelona? This great city offers culture, romance, history, great food, fun and sun in a package that doesn't overwhelm like other, larger cities might.

Having been lucky enough to travel frequently to Barcelona on business in the past, I have developed a real love of this city. It's small enough to navigate on foot pretty easily - a 10 min walk will take you between Las Ramblas and the Marina - and the people are always friendly.

Food lovers are extremely well catered for here, with the seafood being second to none. There are a variety of good restaurants at the Marina, but my real tip is to get down to Las Ramblas and try out the fantastic tapas bars that are found in the side streets around there. Many a happy hour can be spent moving from bar to bar in the evening sampling tasty dishes and drinking cold beer.
